Rebuilt
Computers
Whether I need a computer or not, so many times I
have been lured in by slick advertising to purchase the
newest computer on the market.
I had
to have the latest to keep up with the “Joneses.” My old
computer would end up on a shelf in the garage because no
one else wanted it either. Recently I visited a local shop
in town that specializes in rebuilt computers. What
a great idea and what a bargain!
Due to the sagging economy, my company had to
make some cuts and I was one of them. My wife and I are
starting a home business and find we need another
computer. But
do we? We could look into one of the rebuilt computers or I
could get the old one from the garage and have it rebuilt or
rebuild it myself.
This shop would not only rebuild my old one if I
wanted them to, but they had all the equipment necessary to
upgrade my current computer to the speed and increased memory I
may need. The
owner was a computer technician and was able to advise me of
the changes and latest technology now
available.
My son and a friend just purchased a couple of
reconditioned Mac laptops for the business. They are
really happy with the performance and the support they
have received. The shop where
they bought them has an in-house
technician.
These types of neighborhood shops that offer
rebuilt computers and reconditioned Mac
laptops have been around a long
time. With
all the money concerns they are becoming more
popular.
Before visiting one of these shops it is
important to assess your current computer
needs.
·
What
kind of work will you be performing? Graphics and photos
require a lot of memory and a good computer graphics
card
·
Do
you need a laptop or a desktop machine?
·
What
programs will you be using? Some software is not
compatible with the latest computer
technology.
·
Seek
the advice of a “computer techie” he should be able to get you
going in the right direction.
